Application:GBL(1,4-butyrolactone) is a colorless oily liquid that is soluble in methanol, ethanol, acetone, ether, and benzene. It decomposes in a hot alkaline solution and has an aromatic odor. γ- Butyrolactone is widely used in the synthesis of fine chemicals such as pharmaceuticals and spices. As a high boiling point solvent, it has strong solubility, good electrical performance and stability, and is safe to use. As a proton type strong solvent, it can dissolve most low molecular weight polymers and some high molecular weight polymers, and can be used as a battery electrolyte. In polymerization reactions, it can act as a cutoff and participate in polymerization reactions. Can be used for pyrrolidone, butyric acid, succinic acid, paint remover, etc.
